摘要:A tiling is a covering of the plane, with no overlaps or gaps, by geometric shapes called tiles.We will describe different kinds of tilings occurring in Mathematics or in Art, and outline recent development of the mathematical theory of tilings, focusing notably on a particular shape, called "the hat", that allows to tile the plane aperiodically by itself. Next, we will connect tilings with other mathematical domains, in particular noncommutative geometry, where they can be used to produce interesting examples of C*-algebras.

安妮-瑪麗·奧貝爾(Anne-Marie Aubert),法國著名數(shù)學(xué)家,,現(xiàn)任法國國家科學(xué)研究中心(CNRS),、索邦大學(xué)和巴黎城市大學(xué)(Sorbonne Université and Université Paris Cité)朱西厄-巴黎左岸數(shù)學(xué)研究所(Institut de mathématiques de Jussieu-Paris Rive Gauche ,,IMJ-PRG)研究員,,著名期刊Representation Theory的主編,。Aubert教授的研究領(lǐng)域涵蓋了p進(jìn)群的表示論、Hecke代數(shù)以及局部朗蘭茲對應(yīng),,在包括Inventiones mathematicae, Duke Math. Journal, Advances in Mathematics, Proc. LMS, Compositio Mathmatica, J. Algebra, IMRN, Transformation Group 等在內(nèi)的數(shù)學(xué)頂級期刊中發(fā)表論文近60篇。她的學(xué)術(shù)生涯和研究成就為表示論和相關(guān)領(lǐng)域的發(fā)展做出了重要貢獻(xiàn),,使她在國際數(shù)學(xué)界享有盛譽(yù),。
